STRENGTHS Chart

STRENGTHS Chart Worksheet

Some of the key building blocks of positive mood and overall emotional well-being include the following:

Sleep

Time Management

Relaxation

Exercise

Nutrition

Gratitude

Thought Logs

Hobbies

Social Time

A simple way to think about it is that these factors help build your emotional STRENGTHS. When we have all these factors in check, we are far more resilient and able to deal with the unexpected turns life may have in store for us. Attending to your STRENGTHS will undoubtedly bring greater balance and joy to your life and help you get back to your normal self again.

On a Sunday evening, sit down in a quiet place to reflect on your goals for the week. Think realistically about goals you want to set for your well-being. Given that you will continue to hone and refine your desires for improvement, start simple. Don’t set a goal to run a 5K if you haven’t laced up your running shoes in months. Start with a 10- to 30-minute easy jog instead. At the end of each day, mark your mood on a 1-10 scale to help you track your progress. Download the STRENGTHS Chart for a sample log, followed by a blank log you can fill out with your own goals.
